Herzing Orlando Nursing Students Help Staff Wellness Center at Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida

Thanks to the initaitve of Kelsey Chico, a 13-year-old Girl Scout working toward her Silver Award, a room in the Center for Women and Families of the Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida has been converted to a Wellness Office. Now, instead of visiting the emergency room for minor illnesses, clients have access to health screenings and workshops in the Center for Women and Families that is staffed by volunteers, including nursing students from Herzing's Orlando Campus. An outstanding accomplishments by an amazing young lady!

Herzing Game Design Students Chosen in International Design Contest

Herzing University-Madison game design students recently entered Game Career Guide's latest Game Design Challenge to create games featuring destruction as a primary mechanic. Four of the seven entries chosen as the best were from Herzing students! Herzing Student Takes First Place at Phi Beta Lambda National Leadership Conference

Herzing University's own Daniel Pulliam and Diane Sigler were among the winners at this year's Phi Beta Lambda Natoinal Leadership Conference in Chicago. Pulliam, a Bachelor of Science in Business Management student at Herzing, won first place in the category of project management. Sigler, an academic advisor in charge of Herzing Kenosha's Phi Beta Lambda chapter, won the 2015 Wisconsin Outstanding Chapter Adviser award. Congratulations! Herzing University Announces Nonprofit Status

MILWAUKEE, WI (January 2, 2015) – Herzing University, a regionally accredited, Milwaukee, Wisconsin based private university that will be celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2015, is pleased to announce the consummation of a transaction on January 1, 2015 by which the University has become a 501(c)(3) nonprofit tax-exempt educational institution.

Information Technology Business Partners Provide Interview Experience

The Dane County School Consortium (DCSC) office, in conjunction with Herzing University, recently held its second annual Information Technology (IT) Round Table for incoming Youth Apprenticeship IT students. Representatives from Dell Software, ENVISION iT, American Family Insurance, Adecco and UW-Madison Biochemistry conducted mock interviews from their Human Resources and Information Technology departments.

Herzing University - Madison Makes Mark at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco

The Game Developers Conference is the world’s largest and longest-running professionals-only game industry event. It attracts over 24,000 participants of programmers, artists, producers, game designers, and all others involved in game development, to gather and exchange ideas and shape the future of the industry. The event was held at the Moscone Center in San Francisco California from March 2nd-6th. Herzing students were there to make their own impact.

State Representative Visits Herzing University - Madison

State Representative Melissa Sargent visited Herzing University – Madison Campus on Monday, March 16th to observe the many great things our students do. She was able to listen in on a debate in a Business Ethics course, sit in on a networking class, and observe a nursing demo. Representative Sargent also looked in on our partnership course with the Madison Metropolitan School District Youth Apprenticeship Technology Program. Overall, it was an excellent visit and we welcome a return visit from Rep. Sargent!

Herzing University-Online Names 2014 Student of the Year

Last April, as Steven was nearing the completion of his medical billing degree, his partner was diagnosed with cancer. He recalls:

“There is no greater feeling of helplessness than being on the sidelines watching someone go through cancer treatments. Something was tugging at me—I felt like I could more. I contacted Herzing again and asked what it would take to continue into the Medical Assisting program. It turned out that my coursework from my first degree would transfer over.
