I've always had a strong desire to help people with different backgrounds than mine, aiming to make a positive impact on someone's life. That’s why I chose criminal justice and wanted to become a part of public safety communities.
Herzing’s faculty and staff played key roles in keeping me successful – shout-out to Mrs. Tracy Blackwell specifically! She was an excellent educator who always promptly answered the phone and helped out with any issues I needed assistance with.
Beyond her help, the academic support team helped me learn to utilize my time effectively as well, which helped in my coursework. The most valuable courses for me were Civil Liability in Public Safety and Evidence Forensics. They provided a wealth of knowledge and helped me understand the essence of the criminal justice program.
Now that I finished, I plan on transitioning from operating a bus to working in my new career. Once I transfer my POST certification from Nevada to Georgia, I plan to start working as a Police Officer. I've already passed the interview phase, and the next steps include the background investigation and the physical assessment. My new future has just begun!
