When I first toured the Herzing University campus three years ago, I knew I wanted to be a Herzing student. I could tell that the faculty and staff cared about who I was and they wanted to help me succeed.
I chose to pursue a degree in Graphic Design because I love to create and I express myself through design. One of the challenges I faced while earning my degree was dealing with my learning differences (Attention Deficit Disorder and Dyslexia). Some of my classes were a bit difficult for me at times, but my professors and instructors were all very supportive and accommodating and helped me stay on track. Whether I struggling with a paper or a design, they were there to answer questions and helped me understand where I could improve.
My advice for other students is to use the writing tutor whenever you need help on a paper, and always be open to feedback and suggestions from your professors. It’s also important to communicate with your advisor if you have questions about your courses or need to make a schedule change. My advisors were very helpful when I decided to make the switch from on-campus to online.
I felt very comfortable and supported at Herzing University, and I am looking forward to pursuing my career in graphic design. I would recommend Herzing to anyone who wants to pursue a degree and accomplish his or her lifelong goals.
