I chose to earn my FNP so that I could help and educate my community about their health. I was drawn to Herzing since I knew that it was family-oriented, and several of my friends had previously attended and loved it. With this in mind, I took the jump and started to attend classes.
I met many people during my journey, and I’d like to give a quick shout-out to Alicia Pepito and Rick Herian in particular. Alicia was extremely supportive during my educational journey, while Rick always displayed a caring and concerned attitude. While helpful on a normal day, getting this personal help during a pandemic made all the difference!
During my last semester, finding a preceptor was difficult due to the pandemic. Thankfully, a blessing came through and I found a preceptor that I ultimately enjoyed. My courses, especially pathology, really prepared me to treat my patients during my time there. I feel prepared for whatever comes next!
