Even though I was already an RN, I wanted to grow my skill set and extend myself further in the field. My goal with this degree is to help patients through education and prevent hospitalizations before they happen.
When it came time to apply, I found Herzing’s admissions coordinator very helpful and informative. Honestly, I was looking at other schools for a bit, but the amount of support I got here was what made me choose Herzing.
This support extended throughout my whole journey here. I was helped by every single person from my admission to graduation. Herzing has the best professors, and I wouldn’t trade my experience here for anything! Every clinical and class added to my skillset, and I am happy with what I learned.
Despite my great experiences with the school, life made things a bit tough for me for a while there. The pandemic was tough in general, as I lost several family members to COVID-19. On top of that, my husband had to have a bilateral hip replacement, so I was helping support him while studying.
Despite these challenges and thanks to the wonderful help of those at Herzing, I walked away victorious!
My current plans are to start traveling as a family nurse practitioner, and I’m beyond excited!
