Tammy A. Boudreaux
I came to Herzing University because it was a military-friendly school that was very easy to work with.
I originally came to earn my MSN-FNP, but I had a difficult time finding nursing clinical sites for my FNP program. Ultimately, I had to decide if I wanted to keep moving forward in my pursuit of earning my nursing graduate degree. After some time, I decided to follow a Nurse Educator pathway instead so that I could keep myself and my education moving forward.
At first, I thought I wouldn't like this career, but I actually realized that I love it! It gives me goosebumps knowing I can help shape new nurses pursuing the Nurse Educator pathway. If you love to teach or are looking for a career change, then you will not regret chasing this career!
The future is still a bit up in the air as I figure out my next path, but ultimately I’m considering returning to get my post-master's degree in FNP.
