I decided to earn my MSN due to my desire to further my education and help others in a clinical setting. After taking time to do some research, I decided on Herzing University since the program was strictly online. It was also a nice perk that Herzing is an actual brick-and-mortar university with an actual campus and not just a building full of offices.
Time management was my biggest struggle during my time at Herzing. To be successful in the MSN-FNP program, you must be ready with a lot of effort and time, but it is doable. You need the self-discipline to hold yourself accountable. If you can do that, you’re golden.
Now that I have graduated, I have accepted a job as a nurse practitioner in my rural county at the local clinic for underprivileged and socioeconomically challenged people. I can’t wait to get started!
