When I first visited Herzing’s Brookfield campus for a tour, I wasn't fully committed to going back to school. But after the tour, something just clicked - it felt like I belonged there! The experience was fantastic, the facilities were impressive, and I could truly envision myself working towards becoming a nurse with Herzing by my side.
While I loved my time here, it wasn’t always smooth sailing. I faced challenges like a house fire during my clinicals and my daughter needing emergency surgery while I was in school. We even had to stay in a hotel for a month because of the fire. Despite these obstacles, I never lost hope and continued working towards my goal.
I refused to take "no" for an answer, and I proved to myself that I could overcome anything, even with the weight of the world on my shoulders. Despite all the challenges, I completed the program!
Great things are on the horizon, and I’ll be returning for my BSN next. This journey has been incredibly rewarding, and I can't wait to see where Herzing takes me next!
