I chose to come to Herzing University because of its personable instructors and helpful admissions staff.
Initially, I attended Herzing’s Surgical Technology program. Due to some personal reasons, including getting a divorce, I, unfortunately, had to drop out to address my own needs.
Thankfully, Herzing continued to work with me and helped me figure out another option I could pursue. That’s what led me to Sterile Processing, which is an online program that gave me more flexibility!
Everyone at Herzing was so helpful, and I’m happy I got the chance to work with them all.
The online classes overwhelmed me at first, but Mindy Secunda helped me get past my fears and over the hump. She was very encouraging and helpful, and with her support, I even became the only Herzing Cup winner from the New Orleans campus!
My Career Coach Rick Herian was also super helpful in getting me prepared for job interviews and building my resume. He made sure to remind me that he is my career coach for life as a Herzing graduate and that I could always come back to him for help. That made me extremely happy, and I’ll be taking him up on that!
I’d like to give one final shout-out to Katie: she was a huge help in getting me enrolled in the courses I needed to complete my degree. Without her help, I think things may have been a bit tougher on me.
As a grad, I’m now working on gaining employment. After getting some experience under my belt, I hope to become a traveling Sterile Processing Tech!
My advice to all students is to simply push forward! You are never too old to finish, and you are never too busy to reach your dreams. I know that you can do it with Herzing’s support!
