The Criminal Justice field has always intrigued me, and it was a childhood dream of mine to help others through a career in law enforcement. I decided to pursue my bachelor’s degree in criminal justice at Herzing because I had been a student there in the past, and I really enjoyed the warm and inviting atmosphere.
The instructors at Herzing are incredibly dedicated to students’ success. My professors pushed me to achieve my full potential by never allowing me to quit and always keeping me focused on my academic and professional goals. Even though I was an online student, I always felt supported and cared for by the faculty and staff. They would regularly send me motivational quotes and call to check in and see how things were going. They were always available to provide extra help when I needed it.
I completed my program in April 2017, and I was so proud to be able to walk across the stage at commencement in front of all my family and friends. Today, I am able to apply much of what I learned in my classes to my job as a Customer Protection Officer. I believe that everything I learned at Herzing has helped me along in my professional journey, and I hope to continue to gain the knowledge and experience that will allow me to advance my career in law enforcement.
