When I decided to attend Herzing University, I was already a dental hygienist with an associate degree. I love working with people and being able to educate them and hopefully improve their overall health through oral hygiene. Herzing University was offering reduced tuition due to an agreement with my employer at the time, and I took advantage of the opportunity to further my education.
I am a mother of two and I work full-time. While this is challenging at times, I am a firm believer that anything is possible and nothing is easy! You have to work hard for what you want and you will achieve!
Classes were intense, but I managed and I am glad I made it. Every class taught me something I didn't already know and that was very refreshing and enlightening. I really enjoyed the research classes. The more you know, the more you can help your patients and the people around you.
My advice is that you can always do more to improve your skills and be a valuable team player. Learn. Learn. Learn.
