My friend had attended Herzing University during the COVID-19 pandemic, and she told me how great they were during such tough times. I had been looking to take the next step in my career, and hearing this made me decide to apply to Herzing so I could become a nurse educator.
During my time here, I faced many challenges with family and work life. Thankfully, the help and support of my professors allowed me to finish my degree on time. In general, the team at Herzing was very helpful in getting me through my studies. Everyone communicated with me in a reasonable time and worked closely whenever issues arose.
Being able to work together with my preceptor also gave me great insight into what my career path could look like. I found that so valuable!
Now that I’ve earned my degree, I can say I was surprised at just how critical all of the courses were toward becoming a successful nurse educator. Don’t underestimate them!
Given the chance to speak to future students, I’d say this: Always keep working toward your goal and don’t give up. It’s all worth it!
