I was inspired to attend classes by a friend of mine that graduated from Herzing’s School of Nursing. She was doing an exceptional job in her chosen field and encouraged me to look into the school and pursue a degree that best suited my skills. That’s what led me to start working toward my business degree.
While studying, I faced a few challenges. Time management was my biggest struggle, but as time went by, calendars and planners became my go-to so that I could stay on track. Developing this skill carried over into my personal life, as I used the knowledge to create a budget binder that helped me save money!
While all my classes were helpful, Accounting, Finances and Algebra were my favorites. I felt supported throughout these classes, and my instructors would always reach out to me to make sure I was doing all right. I received plenty of support from my family and friends as well. To everyone that has helped me during this journey, I owe you all my sincere gratitude! You all helped me feel less alone during my studies, and I’m successful thanks to you!
As a graduate, I’m currently in the process of opening a childcare center and my new degree is going to help greatly. My business will deal with receiving payments as well as taxes and other items, and this degree has helped me to understand what’s going on. I can’t wait to get my business off the ground!
My advice for students is to aim for their dreams — P.R.I.C.E is in everything that we do! Don’t hesitate to ask questions in class and always strive to finish and succeed. Gaining a business degree is so versatile, and you can do more than just start your own business. You can work in healthcare, and education, become a financial advisor and follow so many other paths. The sky is the limit!
