Before attending Herzing, I had already been an LPN for over five years. I wanted to expand my knowledge and skills in nursing, so I began my hunt for schools. During this time, I found that Herzing would accept my previous classes and acknowledge my LPN program, so I was able to finish my BSN degree in no time!
The convenience and the approach of the staff were very genuine. All the faculty and staff were nice and helpful; I was surprised by the amount of support from Herzing and the people around me! Everyone went out of their way to help answer my questions, and that’s a great feeling to have.
Time management was the biggest challenge because I was a new mom, working full time and going to school. Planning out my day and ensuring that I didn’t procrastinate was how I was able to overcome this challenge. To find success, all you have to do is take it day by day and not give up!
All the courses I took for my degree were very valuable. There was a lot to learn and I found that most of them had a direct application to my career.
Currently, I am transitioning into a role as a triage RN for a pediatric department. I can’t wait to apply what I’ve learned in my professional career!
