Ijeoma Okolo
I was referred to Herzing University by my friend Jane Yingomone, and that’s when I discovered their 16-week courses. I was already working on a medical-surgical floor and needed a work-school balance, so I reached out to Herzing after realizing I wanted to give it a shot.
Meagan, my academic advisor, was always such a huge help and support to me. She was always there to provide important educational updates which, in addition to my regular classes, really helped me succeed in my studies.
After putting in the hard work, I graduated with all A’s in my FNP program and I’m now looking forward to the future! I’ve always wanted to have my own clinic, and that’s something I think I’ll keep working toward.
If there is any advice I have to give to students, it’s to be sure to study hard and with a partner!
