I always had a passion for helping people and decided to find a career that allowed me to make a difference while also having flexibility so I could be there for my daughters. When I found the Medical Assisting program at Herzing, I knew it was right for me. Thanks to Herzing's online option, I was able to balance a full-time job, education and parenting all at the same time!
All the staff played an influential role in my success, and I found that time flew by during my enrollment with Herzing. The ability to complete my desired career path online was a lifesaver, as it allowed me to still work full-time and complete my homework after my kids’ bedtime. My clinicals helped prepare me for the office, while my externship helped me gain a true feeling for my life as a Medical Assistant.
I have completed my clinicals and externship within Swedish American and am hoping to begin a career with them as soon as possible. My advice for students is to never stop reaching for the stars! Through blood, sweat and tears, hard work pays off! I’m hoping to prove to my daughters that the sky is the limit and it’s never too late to shoot for the stars!
