I wanted to work in an office or hospital to continue helping people from all walks of life. My love for helping others has always driven me to pursue a career in nursing, and so I began my search for schools.
When I first began my search, I made numerous phone calls, but many of the representatives seemed uninterested in my questions. In contrast, the staff at Herzing was incredibly supportive. One lady spent nearly two hours on the phone with me, and that won me over!
As a parent, managing my time between school, kids and life was a significant challenge. However, everyone at Herzing was so helpful. If it weren't for their support, I wouldn't be where I am today. They allowed me to progress at my own pace while still providing deadlines, including plenty of time to submit my assignments.
My advice to anyone considering this path is to go for it and never give up. There will be tears, moments of joy, and times when you might feel like throwing your laptop but remember: if you don’t do this for yourself, no one will!
Honestly, I never thought I had it in me to call myself a college graduate, but here I am! The future is looking bright!
