I joined Herzing to advance my career and embark on a new journey. At 50 years old, spending extensive time studying on the computer was a new experience for me. You know what they say though, “You’re never too old to change your life!”
The program was great, but I did find myself humbled a bit. I had thought everything would be a breeze, but there were some incredibly difficult portions of the program I had to push through. Good, honest hard work kept me moving forward, and I realized that the challenge was key to evolving into a better person. After all, shortcuts don’t lead to growth!
For instance, my externship was quite challenging and taught me hands-on skills that classroom work alone couldn't provide. It was a valuable experience that enhanced my skillset and boosted my confidence for the future.
If you’re a future student reading this, remember not to give up or make excuses if you encounter difficulties. You'll only regret not learning and growing from the experience. Avoiding regrets is important, and you’ll regret it if you give up. Believe in yourself, you can do it!
