I chose to obtain my degree in Health Sciences as a stepping stone so that I could eventually earn my Master's Degree in Mental Health. Herzing had a wonderful program and helped me reach my goals in a reasonable amount of time.
During my studies, I was able to choose how many classes I could take at once, and that was helpful when it came to earning my degree. Of course, there were some challenges along the way.
The biggest challenge I had was finding a balance between being a student, parent and full-time worker. I worked hard on finding that balance, and my family was a wonderful source of support along the way!
“Mommy, I believe in you!” My son said.
“You can do anything you put your mind toward,” my sister had told me.
It was so wonderful to get support from those close to me, and I don’t think I would have made it without their help!
No matter how tired I was at the time or how many times I wanted to give up, I simply kept pushing forward. This is something I recommend that all future students do: always put forth your best effort and never give up. You can do anything you put your mind toward!
I’m very thankful that I attended Herzing, and I look forward to pursuing my Master's in the spring. For now, I’m going to take a short rest and get myself prepared for what’s next.
