I decided to become a Rad Tech because I was looking for a career where I could be an important part of caring for patients. Learning about the different bones, structures and much of the body was fascinating to me, so I knew that this program was what I wanted to study.
Herzing’s schedule made it easy to complete my studies without being overwhelmed, which helped me stay focused. A major challenge for me was trying to juggle working full-time, raising my kids and studying all at once. The pandemic took this further, as now I was doing all of that while working from home. Thankfully, Herzing’s professors and atmosphere made it easy to push through, adapt and kept me encouraged the entire way. Professor May and Professor Sellers were especially helpful; thank you so much!
After graduating, I plan to continue working at the hospital I’m at and start my new role as a Radiologic Technologist! I have had a few opportunities arise that will help me achieve this sooner rather than later. Can’t wait to see what the future holds!
