Herzing University-Brookfield Celebrates New Graduates
Herzing University-Brookfield held a commencement ceremony for 2019 graduates on Sept. 21 at the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts in Brookfield, Wisconsin. More than 50 students graduated from Herzing’s healthcare, nursing, public safety, legal studies and technology programs.
U.S. Senator Ronald Johnson delivered the commencement address, offering words of encouragement for the new graduates.
BSN graduate Htay Thomas also spoke at the ceremony, sharing her inspiring story with her fellow classmates. Growing up in a small village in Southeast Asia, Htay always wanted to become a nurse so she could help others. After moving to Thailand and working as a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) for a few years, she relocated to the United States and enrolled at Herzing’s Brookfield campus, where she was able to earn her BSN and achieve her lifelong dream of becoming a nurse.
“We are so proud all of our graduates and we wish them all the best in their future endeavors,” said Herzing University-Brookfield Campus President Jarvis Racine.
Congratulations, grads! You are possible!
