President Renee Herzing Receives Women of Influence Award
Herzing University President Renee Herzing has been named a 2019 Woman of Influence in Education Leadership by the Milwaukee Business Journal. The prestigious awards program profiles Milwaukee-area women who are leaders in their fields and are making an impact in their professions and communities.
The Business Journal received hundreds of nominations and selected just 29 women for the 2019 awards program. Renee Herzing and the other winners were honored at an awards ceremony at the Wisconsin Center in downtown Milwaukee on June 28, 2019.
One of Renee’s priorities as president has been expanding Herzing’s online programs, which have received accolades from U.S. News & World Report for several consecutive years.
In addition to running Herzing University, Renee participates in multiple nonprofits, including the Greater Milwaukee Committee, Milwaukee Women Inc., and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee. She also supports the work of Wisconsin Women’s Business Initiative Corp., based in Milwaukee.
Looking ahead, she aims to optimize the impact Herzing University can have to ensure success for its approximately 6,500 students.
“To make the world better, you have to get the most out of every individual,” she said in an interview with the Milwaukee Business Journal. “We have to think of ways to do that more effectively and do it more collaboratively.”
Congratulations, Renee!
