Kenosha Offers Nursing Clinical Partnerships in IL

Herzing-Kenosha is making it easier for nursing students from northern Illinois to participate in clinicals in their home state. Herzing Kenosha Campus President Jeff Hill announced this week that the school has secured one clinical agreement with a healthcare provider in Illinois, with plans to add at least 10 additional sites by the end of the year.

The full partnership model will provide nursing students at Herzing’s Kenosha campus, many of which are Illinois residents, with clinical learning environments that are more conveniently located. Also, the partnership program will give each healthcare provider a chance to work with Herzing’s well-regarded nursing program.

“We’re extremely excited with how this will benefit our students and the communities we serve,” Hill said. “I’d like to thank everyone that played a role in making this goal a reality, especially Nursing Department Chair Michelle Metzger, Faculty Clinical Coordinator and Adjunct Professor Maria Rahming, Academic Dean Beth Gilbertson and all of our community and employer partners.”
