Brookfield Students Volunteer with Challenger Little League

Members of the Brookfield President’s Council and staff took their Saturday mornings to help out with the Challenger Little League in Franklin. Volunteers worked with special needs players to stay engaged with the games as their families were able to sit back and enjoy watching their children play baseball.

Herzing will also be helping to replace a number of batting helmets, bats and balls that were unfortunately stolen from the league a few weeks ago. Everyone involved had a blast, and we are looking forward to participating in future Saturday’s throughout the summer. For those interested in volunteering, there's no need to fret over athletic ability. The league is focused on having fun! Stay tuned for future events.

“I would personally like to thank the Herzing team that made it to the challenge little league today," said league manager and Herzing student Joe McClure. "That was one of the best days of games in a while. You all were amazing, and the parents really enjoyed it. Please know that personally it meant a lot, and I'm very thankful for all of you. ”
