Nursing Students Make Strides for a Cure
Herzing University - Akron’s National Student Nurses’ Association (NSA) raised over $1,200 for Stride for the Cure, which occurred October 7, 2012. Nurses provide hope on a daily basis, and our sensational nursing students believe in doing so in the community through support, education, advocacy, and awareness before they even graduate!
One of the largest teams in the event at over 50 walkers, Herzing’s Nursing team included Terri Chapman, director of nursing, Andrea Easterling, team leader and NSNA president, and many students, faculty and staff members, alumni, and their friends and families. Campus president Dave LaRue was kind enough to donate the pink team T-shirts in support of this tremendous effort.
