Military-Friendly Herzing University Welcomes Recruiters for Training Session

Credit in tech and nursing for military training

Toledo, Ohio - May 25, 2011 - They arrived on campus dressed in the familiar green military camouflage and black berets, more than 30 United States Army recruiters from the greater Toledo metropolitan area on Friday, May 20, 2011. The men and women attended a day-long training on the importance of promoting higher education among the ranks.

Herzing University offers veterans and active members of the military and their families, tuition scholarships and other benefits.

“Herzing University is proud to be a military-friendly institution” said Greg Guzman, campus president.

“We take great pride in partnering with active duty members, veterans and families to help make their educational experience convenient, caring and career-focused.”

The group posed for photos before heading home at the end of the day. “We are very grateful for the opportunity to bring our members together for this training,” said Captain Justin Blades.

“The staff and students made us feel right at home.”
