General Student Fee Glossary:
- Enrollment Fee: The Enrollment Fee includes support in the university enrollment process, including but not limited to admissions processing and support, course registration support, and financial aid services.
- Learner Resource Fee: The Learner Resource Fee includes and supports the use of university equipment, the use of eBooks (or the use of textbooks when eBooks are not available), program specific materials, the learning management system (LMS), library and other learning resources, and academic and technical support services.
- Nursing Program Fee: The Nursing Program Fee includes a student background check prior to clinical placement, clinical placement support services and corresponding software, on-campus lab use where applicable, and licensure exam preparation.
- Advanced Healthcare Program Fee: The Advanced Healthcare Program Fee includes a student background checks prior to clinical placement, clinical placement support services and corresponding software, on-campus lab use where applicable, and licensure exam preparation.
- Dental Assisting Hybrid Program Fee: The Hybrid Dental Assisting Program Fee includes a student background checks prior to clinical placement, clinical placement support services and corresponding software, on-campus lab use where applicable, and licensure exam preparation. It also includes the cost of overnight accommodations and other university provided support during on-campus attendance dates.
- TEAS Test Fee: The TEAS Test Fee is charged prior to a prospective student attempting the TEAS Test for entry into Nursing Programs that require a defined TEAS Test score as part of the admissions requirements. In certain circumstances this fee may be waived and those circumstances and terms are fully explained when meeting with an Admissions Advisor during the admissions interview process.
- Course Test Out: In the event the student is approved to take a Course Test Out exam, the student must pay a Course Test Out Fee prior to attempting the exam.
- Student ID Replacement Fee: The Student ID Replacement Fee is charged when a student loses their Student ID and requires a replacement ID.
- Official Transcript Fee: The Official Transcript Fee is charged at the time official transcripts are requested.
- Diploma Replacement Fee: The Diploma Replacement Fee is only charged when a replacement diploma is requested by a Herzing graduate.
- NSF – Returned Check Fee: Then NSF - Returned Check Fee is charged In the event that a payment is declined by a bank for Non-Sufficient Funds.
- Stop Payment Fee: The Stop Payment Fee is charged when the university is required to issue a stop payment on behalf of a student.

- International Student Application Fee: The International Student Application Fee includes support in the university application process, including but not limited to application completion support, course registration support and initial financial aid services.
- International Student Orientation Fee: The International Student Orientation Fee includes initial international student onboarding services, new student registration, extended cultural orientation program and functionally related activities.
- International Student Service Fee: The International Student Fee includes the unique costs associate with certification, registration, processing, programming, compliance, advising requirements and supplemental student support services associate with international students studying on an F-1 student visa.
- International Student Tuition Deposit: International students planning to attend Herzing University on an F-1 student visa are required to pay a $5,000 non-refundable tuition deposit. This deposit is due within 7 days of the approval of the student visa and/or prior to traveling to the United States of America, or in the case of a student transferring to Herzing University from another institution within 7 days after their SEVIS record is transferred and I-20 is issued. The tuition deposit is applied to first semester tuition charges. As the tuition deposit is non-refundable, in the event a student does not attend Herzing University or ends their enrollment prior to incurring $5,000 of tuition charges, the deposit is forfeited.
