Congratulations to the Herzing Cares Student of the Month, Casandra Skaife!

Our Herzing Cares Student for the month of September, Casandra Skaife, is a graphic design student and an active servicemember. In search of both a hobby to keep her busy while serving overseas and a way to give back, Casandra decided to make and sell bracelets, donating the proceeds to the Wounded Warrior Project. Beginning this project on August 1, she has already raised and donated over $300 for the Wounded Warrior Project. She has also expanded her line to include lanyards and dog collars, which can include up to three different colors.

“I just wanted to give back and say thank you to my brothers and sisters in arms who have paid the ultimate sacrifice or who will never be able to live their life the same way ever again,” wrote Skaife.

Show your support and order your own bracelet from Casandra. She's also on Facebook and has a dedicated website.

The Herzing Cares Student of the Month Award was established to recognize a student who exemplifies caring (the “C” in P.R.I.C.E. of Success). Way to embody Caring, Casandra!
