Meet Victoria Trail, business associate degree student at Herzing University in Toledo.
“I like the environment. It’s small. I like the teachers—they’re really involved, and that’s why I like it here. Herzing has helped me grow a lot. Before, I would hardly talk or speak, not say much to anyone or anybody—mostly stayed to myself. When I came here, everybody was so nice and it made me open up more and join different groups and organizations.”
How does she feel about Herzing’s P.R.I.C.E. of Success program?
“That’s a big thing right there. You need respect, integrity, caring—you need all of that for the business world, what’s out there.”
The photo shows Victoria volunteering with Herzing at a local community garden to grow fresh fruits and vegetables to give to local food banks.
“That was a great experience, going out there, giving back to the community. That’s what I like to do. Going out and helping others—I really like doing that. I loved it. It was amazing to me. It was something different for me. I had never done anything like that before.”
What would Victoria tell others about Herzing?
“I would tell them that at the school, we’re one-on-one. The students and the teachers, one-on-one—and that’s what I like. I think more colleges should be like that. Most colleges are way too big and I like small.”
Victoria is involved in Student Government Association (SGA), Booster Club, and Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), and would like to eventually pursue her bachelor’s degree in business management.
