ASSOCIATE OF APPLIED SCIENCE IN DENTAL ASSISTING
DIPLOMA IN DENTAL ASSISTING
- Graduates from Akron's dental assisting program will be eligible to take the Dental Assisting National Board's (DANB) Certified Dental Assistant (CDA®) exam.
- Akron graduates will also be qualified to apply for the Dental Assistant Radiographer's Certificate through the Ohio State Dental Board.
To succeed in these growing career fields, Minnesota requires candidates to graduate from an accredited program.
- Dental assisting graduates will be prepared to sit for the Minnesota Board of Dentistry Licensing Exam, Jurisprudence Exam, and the Certified Dental Assistant (CDA®) exam to become a Licensed Dental Assistant (LDA) in the State of Minnesota and earn the Certified Dental Assistant (CDA®) certification through the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB).
