Chiropractic technicians are relied upon heavily by chiropractors to assist with both the clerical duties of the office and direct patient care. As a graduate of this program, you will be able to seek entry-level employment in this field.

Position titles include:

  • Chiropractic Technician
  • Chiropractic Assistant
  • Chiropractic Office Manager
  • Chiropractic Radiographic Technician

In some states, specific certification is required. Herzing University’s chiropractic programs will prepare you to take these necessary certifications.

Work Environment

Chiropractic technicians typically work 40-hours per week with full benefits (such as 401(k), paid vacation, and medical/dental insurance), although part-time and weekend shifts are often available.

As part of this program, you will be prepared to take several industry exams:

  • Wisconsin students: The Herzing University associate of science in chiropractic technician program has been approved by the Wisconsin Chiropractic Examining Board and the Department of Safety and Professional Services, which enables program graduates to apply for certification to work as a chiropractic technician in Wisconsin.
  • Nebraska students: Limited Radiography Exam administered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. The exam fee is included in tuition for one exam attempt. This industry credential is required in the state of Nebraska for any professional who takes radiographic images (x-ray).
  • Certified Chiropractic Professional Coder (CCPC) exam through the AAPC – graduates will have a foundation for which to study for this certification proving advanced insurance coding knowledge for chiropractic services.

*Where noted, exam fees are included in tuition for the first exam attempt when taken as part of the program; any fees required for additional attempts will be the student’s responsibility.
