Congratulations to the Herzing Cares Student of the Month for May, Christine Johnson!

“My passion is Girl Scouts; my vision is to help build character, leadership, and give the girls confidence,” writes Johnson. Christine is a girl scout leader, with a troop of fourteen girls. The troop focuses heavily on service projects, including: feeding the homeless in Chicago, hosting a Stuff a Bus event for the local food centers, cleaning and painting a homeless shelter, and making food baskets. Christine, a graphic design student, also serves as a delegate for Girl Scouts of Wisconsin-Southeast, is a Service Area Coordinator, and also runs a Girl Scout camp in summer. Herzing is proud of Christine for contributing to her community in such meaningful ways.

The Herzing Cares Student of the Month Award was established to recognize a student who exemplifies caring (the “C” in P.R.I.C.E.).
