Graduates of the Nursing Management concentration are prepared to handle a broad range of administration and management responsibilities. They can:
- Supervise nurses at all levels in hospitals, nursing homes, or any other type of healthcare facility.
- Work as health services managers, healthcare facility administrators, healthcare management, administrators, clinical managers, or health information managers.
- Become case managers and consultants.
What career opportunities are available for nurse managers?
Employers such as hospitals, insurance companies, pharmaceutical manufacturers, and managed care organizations need nurse managers for a wide range of positions. These include departmental and organizational administration, health planning and development, marketing, consulting, policy development, and quality assurance. Others work as college and university faculty or conduct research.
